This morning I found Ty standing in his crib for the first time. I was so excited! He started walking pretty well in October but until the last week or so could not pull himself into a standing position. It's been very frustrating for him because when he falls down, he's stuck. Most kids learn to pull to a standing position and then walk, but with Ty's CP, he's learned in reverse. Walking is easier than balancing or pulling to a standing position with only one arm or leg. Anyway, all that to say, he's been working really hard learning how to pull himself up. He's pulled himself up a few times on our ottoman, but today was the first day I found him standing in his crib waiting for me. It's a little milestone for most kids, but it's a pretty huge deal for us! :)
