One of my favorite places . . .

I love going to the Huntington Library. I love all the beautiful flowers, especially the wisteria when it is in bloom. I love playing in the gardens with my kids. I love walking past the field with the statues and remembering the scene in The Wedding Planner that was filmed there. And I LOVE having tea in the Rose Garden Tea Room. So, last month my girls had the day off of school and Christine and I took all 6 of our kiddos down to the library for tea and lots of fun in the children's garden. It was so much fun! They did such a good job at the tea. They loved the scones and tarts and little finger sandwiches. We were quite impressed with all of them. Then off to the gardens for exploring, playing in the fountains, running through the rainbow tunnel, playing in the fountains, hiding in the secret hide-out, playing in the fountains, checking out the giant misters, and did I mention, playing in the fountains?

I highly recommend bringing a change of clothes for all the kids. :) They were soaked!

It was a great day. I can't wait to go again. Tea anyone?

OK, I seldom miss CA, but reading this post made me yearn for the beautiful weather that you all enjoy basically year round! The weatherman just said that it feels like 16 outside...yipes!!

It is so neat to see your family. Every year when we get your Christmas card I marvel at how much your girls look like you and your son looks like Jason. Amazing.

That is so exciting about Elyse Fitzpatrick doing a conference at your church. Are you going? Maybe you could blog about it. I am really enjoying her book. If you can call coming under major conviction and dealing with sin enjoyment. :-)

Are you still working? I think the last time we talked, you were the homeschool co-coordinator for the school that your girls attend.

I read your first entry about Ty and what the doctors say...it made me smile. When I was born, I had so many complications that they said I would never walk, among other things. It is amazing, not only how wrong they can be sometimes, but also what God accomplishes through our prayers.

I added your blog to my feeder. I am looking forward to staying in touch.
