Happiness is . . .

the faces of three little girls when they are completely surprised by a puppy!

Our girls have been begging for a dog for at least 4 years, maybe longer. Jason and I decided this was the year. We bought our little puppy from a breeder in Missouri, and she was shipped to us Friday morning. I set up an elaborate treasure hunt for the girls Friday afternoon after school, and the final clue led us home to our Christmas tree, where Jason, Grandma, Ty, and puppy were waiting for us. The girls were absolutely shocked and giddy and shocked and thrilled and did I mention shocked? It was the best surprise! Jason and I had so much fun; we felt like little kids the day before Christmas . . . we couldn't wait to give her to them.

Introducing Hallie . . . the girls chose her name after about 3 hours of debate. :) It was the name Jason was secretly hoping for, so he was very pleased. The girls are just thankful he didn't impose Shmifelbach or Schnerdly. She is a very sweet puppy, and we're really enjoying her.

Oh Mary!!! I am so excited for you all to embark on this new adventure with this ADORABLE dog. I am so curious about what kind of dog it is. My fondest childhood memory is unwrapping a dog for Christmas. How great that you were able to give that to the girls when they could really remember it and cherish it!!!

Hi Mary. I found your blog from Steph's site. What a great dog! What kind is it? We just got a Labradoodle and it looks a lot like your new dog.
